ChessForChrist.com uses the minimum information needed to operate free accounts, chess games, ratings, chat, and moderation.

Information We Store

We store display name, email address, password hash, optional favorite verse, optional bio/testimony, ratings, games, moves, chat messages, reports, and timestamps.

How It Is Used

Information is used to log you in, pair games, maintain ratings, show game history, support fellowship chat, and review reports for safety.

Passwords

Passwords are stored as hashes using PHP's password hashing tools. We do not store plain-text passwords.

Chat And Reports

Game-room chat and reports may be reviewed by moderators or admins to protect the community and enforce Grace at the Board standards.
